ALL 9-11 hijackers came to the US LEGALLY, so why is Bush trying to appease the Saudi King by making it easier for more foreign students from terrorist nations to enter the US? This is NOT a joke….read for yourself!

"""After the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on Saudis trying to visit the U.S. The president said visas were "tightened to the point where we missed opportunities." Bush said he thinks the United States benefits from having foreign students studying in America and carrying their views of the U.S. home.""""

What in the F is Bush thinking? Are we selling our soul to the devil for cheap oil? What do you think?

http://www.wjla.com/news/stories/0108/48 7957.html

""""Every one of the 19 hijackers on 9/11 came here legally. Our government welcomed them in,""""

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080115/ap_o n_el_pr/huckabee_immigration

BY THE WAY, I DON’T CARE IF ANYONE VOTES FOR HUUCKABEE, BUT READ THE ARTICLE!!!
Ok…granted David, but I can’t believe that Bush would even CONSIDER making it easier for those students to get in. I makes NO sense to me.
They already have the technology…or at least Iran does, but my main concern is Bush caving in to get oil for cheaper. Yeah, I know our economy is in the dumps, but that’s our own damn fault for letting the mortgage crisis get out of hand. Let’s not make it worse by making it easier for terrorist to enter the US.
To the last poster: No…it’s a horrible thing for Bush to F up just so we can get a democrat in. I don’t care if who gets in. I care about keeping terrorist out of the US.

It doesn’t make sense for Bush to be wanting to lift restrictions on immigration for terrorist nations. It won’t affect oil prices anyway. Oil prices are set by the market.

My questions is why those nations that hate us want to study here anyway?

that was before 9/11
abenezerscrooge | Jan 15, 2008

"The national commission that studied the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks concluded that at least two of the 19 terrorists and possibly 11 others presented fraudulently altered passports when they entered the United States."

At least two…and possibly (which means a very small chance) a total of 13 or the nineteen came here illegally. That’s leaves at the bare minimum 6 (and probably several more) came here legally. Also, it says that the measures were extremely tight *when the hijackers came into the country.*

true and Iranian student are going to US colleges taking nuclear science which makes sense……….don’t want the
country to have a bomb so, we teach their children how to build one

Just one of MANY unanswered questions!
pantagruel | Jan 15, 2008

Bush only have few months left and also Republican will be highly likely loss the election. The Democratic view is to talk about peace with Muslim. That means, majority of American would like to talk about peace with Mulslim.

Bush just add some favor to democrate or as some deal for the budget for Iraq.

This may be a good thing.

If U.S. went to Muslim and get support from soft Muslim, the extremists would be eliminated in no time. U.S. got weapons and soldiers but U.S. does not have the information on targets.

If you need good FG & FT percentages and great steals number, go with Brewer. If you need a lot threes and a few more rebounds, go with Webster. Their points production should be about the same.

JR | Nov 10, 2007

who ?? ? ?
Tuti T | Nov 10, 2007

Webster.
doppleganga | Nov 10, 2007

Webster can be lights out and Brewer can be physical. I think Webster
DEEMERK(504) | Nov 10, 2007

Webster is a lot better, straight out of high school and then played for the blazers, then went to NBDL when he got really good and is now back with the Blazers. His story is kinda like Jordan Farmar who was also sent to the NBDL but now has proven to be really good
Reggie M | Nov 10, 2007

All I can say is Martell Webster can hammer threes…don’t know about Brewer
KevinJ | Nov 10, 2007

Don’t know much about webster…but brewer can shoot and he is 4th in the league on steals, and he is fast. So im leanin towards BREWER definately…
Annie b | Nov 10, 2007

I would say Webster only because he doesn’t have any established stars on his team where brewer has to contend with boozer, D. Williams, Okur and Krielenko for points and all other important stats. This is actually a good comparison but I will lean towards Martell Webster because of the reason I mentioned and it just appears he has explosive offensive potential.
nanizm | Nov 10, 2007

Martell Webster :

He’s going to get more playing time then Ronnie Brewer and more chances with the ball considering that Portland is practicly him, Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge.

It’d be tough for Ronnie Brewer to get more oppurtunities with the ball playing on the same team with Deron Williams , Andrei Kirilenko , Mehmet Okur and Carlos Boozer * who all average over 15 points a game

Both are good. But it depends on weather you want sweet or savory. Here is one for both.

Preheat the oven to 350′ F

Toss Pumpkin Seeds in Vegetable Oil, sprinkle with Kosher Salt, Cayenne Pepper, Ground Cumin Seeds, Paprika, Fresh ground Black Pepper, a pinch of Ground Garlic and Ground Ginger.

Spread out evenly on a coated sheet pan. Toast for 10 minute increments stirring the seeds and rotating the pan 180′ for each time allotment until thoroughly toasted. May seem laborious, but well worth the outcome
GrumpyLumpkin | Oct 28, 2009

Obviously, you need to clean the pumpkin seeds first, but this recipe is pretty good and gives them extra flavor!

Ranch-Style Pumpkin Seeds

3 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons Ranch Dressing Mix
3 cups raw whole pumpkin seeds

Preheat oven to 275 degrees F (135 degrees C).

Combine the butter and Italian dressing mix. Toss with pumpkin seeds. Mix thoroughly and place in shallow baking dish.

Bake for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

How to Roast Pumpkin Seeds
Rinse pumpkin seeds under cold water and pick out the pulp and strings. (This is easiest just after you’ve removed the seeds from the pumpkin, before the pulp has dried.)

Place the pumpkin seeds in a single layer on an oiled baking sheet, stirring to coat. If you prefer, omit the oil and coat with non-stick cooking spray.

Sprinkle with salt and bake at 325 degrees F until toasted, about 25 minutes, checking and stirring after 10 minutes.

Let cool and store in an air-tight container.

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

1 or 2 Cups raw pumpkin seeds
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
Kosher or sea salt

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Toss the seeds with oil and season with salt to taste.
Spread the seeds evenly on a baking sheet and bake, tossing occasionally for 15-20 minutes, until they are light golden brown and crisp. Remove from oven and let cool. Store in an airtight container.
MK2290 | Oct 28, 2009

I just used this recipe the other day and the seeds were delicious!! Very easy.

Don’t toss those pumpkin seeds! Toast or roast pumpkin seeds in your microwave in no time at all. They can can be salted or spiced to suit your palate. The shells are edible and are a good source of fiber. Use this method with other seeds such as acorn squash and butternut squash. Pumpkin seeds are also known as pepitas.
Prep Time: :10

Cook Time: 1:

Ingredients:

Pumpkin seeds
Cooking spray, olive oil, or butter
Optional: Salt, garlic powder, onion powder, seasoned salt, or other seasoning of choice
Preparation:

Rinse pumpkin seeds. Use your fingers to remove all the pulp. Drain pumpkin seeds and discard pulp. Spread out on a cookie sheet to dry overnight.

Preheat oven to 250 F. Line a baking sheet with non-stick foil.

Toss pumpkin seeds in olive oil, butter, or spray with cooking spray. Sprinkle with salt, garlic powder, onion powder, seasoned salt, cayenne pepper, or your choice of seasonings. Toss to coat.

Bake about 1 hour, tossing every 15 to 20 minutes, until golden brown.

Cool pumpkin seeds before eating. Store in an airtight container at room temperature up to 3 months or refrigerate up to 1 year.

If you like your toasted pumpkin seeds extra-salty, soak overnight in a solution of 1/4 cup salt to 2 cups of water. Dry an additional day, then proceed as above.

I ask because I have some documents I’d like to keep, but I cannot back them up right now, and current circumstances leave me no other option then to get a new version of word at the moment. Basically I’m wondering if the new one will overwrite the old one so that I can keep everything.

The new will over write the old and you will be able to keep all of your old documents.

I thought the only thing missing was the torchlight parade.
I kept waiting for them to start singing Deutschland uber alles or maybe the Horst Wessel song.

the thought of that shrill, one track voice for four years is nauseating. End the Clinton Bush dynasty now. those two families have run this country for 20 years now. give me a break. We’ve never been more divided than we have been over the last 20 years.

I really want to go see Paranormal Activity tomorrow! But my older sister says that im going to get really scared! Should I go?

Dude don’t see this movie, trust me you don’t want to see it. It is one of those movies that you have to see but I would prefer not to have all of those disturbing images in my head. And if you do see the movie don’t overrate it so much that you underrate it. Half way through the movie I’m like wow this isn’t really scary, then it just started getting creepy as hell.

Ers | Oct 18, 2009

many people told me it was really scary and that if you’re afraid of the dark don’t go so it just depends if you can handle it.
lily | Oct 15, 2009

Have you seen the blair witch project and the exorcist?
mix those two together and it’s paranormal activity. It didn’t scare me because I stopped being afraid of scary movies since I was 12 being that my dad let me watch them since the age 6. It does have a few parts that gets you off your seat and makes you jump. So if you’re afraid of scary movies this one has to be the best in a long while.
sacredbrittni | Oct 15, 2009

very crappy movie… not scary at all
GhostProjekt | Oct 15, 2009

I just saw this movie today and everyone made it seems ten million, bajoillion times worse than it actually was. But it definitely was freaky and weird.
Brooke | Oct 15, 2009

scarey as HELL
mer_359 | Oct 16, 2009

I just saw it last night at the premier for alaska. It is one of the movies that just draws you in. At the scenes where it is night you cant help but sink in your seat. It makes you think about what happens while you sleep. Im a 36 yr manly man, and well it scared the crap out of me, had a real hard time falling to sleep last night……..If you like to go to haunted houses and can go through them without going nuts then you can survive this…Oh my gosh–Who is that standing over you right now? Dont look over your shoulder……….BOO
Jeffro99518 | Oct 16, 2009

I watched this movie on Wednesday. That was a bad idea, I couldn’t sleep on a school night. It’s just disturbing and creepy because it seems so real and you become really paranoid. Scariest movie I’ve ever seen.
<3 | Oct 16, 2009

i wouldnt suggest you go to see the movie. I sawthe movie today and it was not all the hype. Like it starts off realli slow and the climax is realli anticlimatic. You dont see none of the blood and gore that really goes on only a little. To say i was disappointed is an overstatement. I was left saying this is not how it ends ..is this it???..i wouldn’t say it sucked but i will say that it wont scare you like saw movies can. Its like a cheap thrill.. Only minor scary things
Tyler J | Oct 16, 2009

It wasn’t the scariest movie of all time, but it did scare me pretty well. I think part of the reason it’s scary is because you DON’T see anything. It’s a lot easier to reason that if you don’t see the guy in the mask somewhere, he’s not real. But when it’s something you can’t see, and that does stuff to you when you aren’t even aware of it, how do you make yourself know it’s not real? I’d say go see it for yourself. Make up your own mind on if it’s too scary or not.
krisa | Oct 17, 2009

I went to go watch it tonight. It’s not so much of a scary concept but a mysterious suspenseful one, and that makes it seem scary. But yes, some parts are REALLY scary. You get a lot more scared because the film itself looks like a real story, but in reality it’s all a mockumentary. If you’re one of those people that doesn’t handle horror movies so well.. Trust me, you won’t sleep that night.
pidgeylover1 | Oct 17, 2009

yeah i saw it just tonight. it was scary, especially the ending. its very suspenseful. i am kinda scared to go to bed right now…haha
Garegar | Oct 17, 2009

Let me put it to you this way, it all depends on what is scary to you. If you jump more at the type of movies where its a big guy with a chainsaw chasing you, then this movie may not get to you much. The reason why it is so scary is because it justs starts off so slow, but it just builds over time and it gets to the point where everytime they go to sleep, you just kind of curl up in your seat. I also thought the actress did a fantastic job at looking creepy. I saw it last night, and I did not sleep.
Lauren-Ash | Oct 17, 2009

yeah its really scary, i totally recommend it. but the end was REALLY scary. ahh!!
colleen | Oct 17, 2009

i saw it last night
people behind me were crying!

and other people were running out of the theater.

i seriously think its the scariest movie i have ever seen.
it kept me frightened.
SAMi.xO | Oct 17, 2009

i dont understand how people say it was scary

im a big pussy
i hate scary movies
this didnt make me jump on bit

if your idea of a scary movie is lights turning on and off
and a door slamming shut

then go ahead and see it
if not, COMPLETE waste of time
THUMBS UP! | Oct 17, 2009

Nope. but it kinda messes with you. you think maybe…this could happen to me.
LiaB | Oct 17, 2009

It is scary! It’s scary because it actually happened. I screamed…more than once. Lol
Kaykum | Oct 17, 2009

I love horror movies….I wasn’t scared, if anything, bored and annoyed at the crappy (lack of) dialogue….

Scare movies for me would be: The Shining
In the Mouth of Madness
Nightmare on Elm Street (the first one)

If the Blair Witch scared you, this will scare you….the thing that was scary was they made it seem like real people….but these people were lame annoying people
urbanpixie | Oct 18, 2009

hahahaha.

i’m 14 and i saw it last night with my friends.
honestly, i get scared easily and that movie was nothing.
i have no idea why people are making such a big deal out of it, its not even real footage.

St. Louis is not a hicktown and a comeback in their current series would result in alot of advertising. If the Rox keep winning, they’ll be advertising a second Rocktober. Either way, I think any World Series would be well advertiesed. I want to see the Rox and Yanks in the WS
Jimmy Page | Oct 10, 2009

Sarah S | Oct 10, 2009

No, no, no, NO. That would be the worst World Series I can possibly imagine.

I’m sure the networks are pulling for it, though, because it’ll have the highest ratings. Disgusting. Those are two fanbases that I would love to see disappointed (especially LA).
Subcomandante Insurgente Steve | Oct 10, 2009
