BQ: Do you like the new changes in the squad?
BQ2: Who do you think should be on that list?
Overall, pretty much as expected, and no real surprises. As for Demerit, I read that he is not available because of an eye infection. Names that come to mind that you might wonder about: Frankie Hejduk, Demarcus Beasley (are they finished with the USMNT?), Freddy Adu, Edgar Castillo, Jermaine Jones—is it too late for any of them to get into the roster for the World Cup?
Another question: Was it a mistake for Gooch to go to Milan and get next to no playing time?

Demarcus Beasley

Is DeMerit hurt? I’d like to see him keep playing back with Gooch. Those two are studs.

I don’t think the changes are significant so I don’t really like or dislike the changes. USA has a lot of depth at midfield sorry for Beckerman.
Chad Marshall isn’t a starter in my eyes.
Jay Demerit I believe is a very solid defender, I like his toughness and experience. I really think Bocanegra is overrated and isn7t a good defender as crazy as that sounds. It seems like he does more damage than good most games but then sometimes he turns around and makes great defensive plays.
Spector needs to start every game. He plays good D is tall and delivers great balls when he moves forward. No other defender can do this but him on the US squad.
Bornstein deserves a chance. Hes the quickest of all the defenders is young and inexperienced but can match up with other quick forwards.
Conrad and Cherundolo are too old but provide leadership.
At midfield I love Bradely….but he really needs to stop getting a yellow card every game he plays. AND I think Benny Feilhaber should be starting alongside him. Sorry but Ricardo Clark doesn’t impress me and that goal his last game didn’t convince me otherwise.
Then of course Davies and Altidore up top is a great combo for years and years to come.
USA has a solid squad but there are still question marks all over the field that need to be answered.

I don’t see this team beating Honduras IN Honduras.. so lets see if they can at least tie at home against Costa Rica.. something their MLS teams cant even do in concacaf champions league
Also you gotta get out of the MLS to actually learn to play with any kind of skills.. so although he might not get any playing time during games.. at least he is practicing with players that actually know how to play real soccer during drills and scrimmages

I agree, Honduras will not lose.
Why are USA fans under the impression that Honduras is an easy win??
USA played Honduras "A" team once, in Chicago…and Honduras took a 1-0 lead by halftime. USA had to come from behind to win 2-1.
Good luck…but I think this game is already done before it started.

I dont see anyhting really diffrent,
landon and jozy up top
bradley dempsey and feilhaber in the middle
bocanegra spector onyewu and bornstein in the back.
I see new subs though like kenny cooper, who would be good if u had a cross in the box.
But i expect them to beat Honduras.

yes, demerit is hurt, yet again.
my starting 11:
GK: Timmy Howard
D: Spector
D: Gooch
D: Boca
D: Dolo
MF: Dempsey (hopefully he can get WAY better from last game)
MF: Bradley
MF: Clark
MF: Feilhaber
F: Altidore
F: Davies
If we have the lead around the 60th/70th minute, i’d like to see torres come on for clark, depending on how he’s playing. i’d also like to see conor casey again, though ONLY if we have that lead. i really don’t like him, but i have a feeling he may be able to prove his worth in holding up the ball and taking some time off the clock.

no surprises.
I would think bob would start
———–davies—altidore
donovan——————-holden
———–bradley–clark
bornstein—————–spector
——–bocanegra-onyewu
—————-howard
I think they have a decent option of winning or tying the match in Honduras.
Honduras will agrresively look for the attack and the U.S. will probably set traps and wait to explode on the counter attack.
they will also play tight defense and look to shut down Honduras playmakers.
the reason i put holden starting is because I think dempsey may not be available due to his injury.
with or without dempsey we should have a decent option for a result.

Chad Marshall over Conrad
Spector hasn’t been playing much @ West Ham
I like Rogers, Feilhaber, and Torres
Casey sholdn’t be playing
